We left Adelaide feeling we have had a good experience there and thoroughly enjoyed our time in South Australia. No regrets at all about being forced to change our plans in the Flinders Range due to the floods. The Fleurieau Penninsular more than made up for what we missed. In fact we even found a place we thought we could settle given half a chance. Our final day included forest walks in a reserve where we again saw a koala and the Wallaby with its Joey pictured below. As we stood quietlt watching it in the undergrowth others silently appearred around us from the bush. A magical moment.
Now in Christchurch, picking up our campervan (road maggot to the locals) tomorrow. Then heading off to the hills. Temperature now in low 20s and feels distinctly cool.
One night in Sydney just long enough to visit the iconic Opera House and Bridge and a walk in the gardens to see the flying fox bats heading off for the nightly forage.
